Roscosmos: Do you know how to measure the mass of a body in zero gravity? There is a special device on the International Space Station for this. Its rack consists of a movable and a fixed part, which connect two springs. An electromagnet is installed on the fixed part of the rack, with its help the movable part is held at the base, and on command it is released and oscillates. According to the readings of the built-in sensor, the oscillation period is determined, which is automatically converted into the astronaut’s body weight. In the video, Roscosmos cosmonauts Anna Kikina and Sergei Prokopiev.
