Space to Ground (4 April 2025)

Space to Ground (S2G) (28 March 2025) - Presented by Nicolas Page - Video credit: NASA JSC - Summary by Frederic Eger - Space to Ground reports that NASA's SpaceX Crew-10 will soon be launching into low Earth orbit, with three new crew members joining them. Roskosmos cosmonauts Sergei Ryzhikov and Alexey Zabritsky, along with NASA astronaut Johnny Kim, will join Expedition 72 in low Earth orbit. Kim, of astronaut class 2017, will serve as flight engineer and remain on station for an eight-month mission. The short trip to the space station will take just three hours and 16 minutes from launch to docking, and viewers can watch it all, including the crew's first moments on station, live on NASA+. Don Pettit, a NASA veteran astronaut, has had an illustrious career as NASA Science Officer on Expedition 6, crew member of STS-126, and flight engineer for Expeditions 30 and 31. As a member of Expedition 72, Pettit has conducted dozens of scientific investigations, experiments, spacesuit maintenance, and conducted the first Twitch livestream from space. Tortillas are the go-to bread for the crews on the International Space Station, as they are delicious, versatile, and mold-resistant. In 2024, over 3,100 tortillas were consumed on the station.
