Space to Ground (30 May 2025)

Space to Ground reports that an unpiloted SpaceX Dragon spacecraft has returned to Earth, marking the 32nd Commercial Resupply Services mission for SpaceX. The spacecraft splashed down off the coast of California on May 23rd, marking the first Pacific Coast splashdown for SpaceX. NASA and its partners have adjusted the summer 2025 space station flight planning and launch schedule to provide additional time for finalizing mission plans, spacecraft readiness, and logistics. Axiom Mission 4, the fourth private astronaut mission to the International Space Station, is now targeting a launch on June 8th at 9-11 a.m. Eastern from Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The four private astronauts will work alongside the Expedition 73 crew for about two weeks to conduct mission-related science, outreach, and commercial activities. In late July, NASA astronauts Zena Cardman and Mike Fink, JAXA astronaut Kimmy Yu, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Platonov will launch to the space station aboard a Dragon and Falcon 9 from Launch Complex 39A. The crew will hand over with the agency's SpaceX Crew 10 before embarking on a long-duration mission aboard the space station. In August, SpaceX's 33rd commercial resupply mission for NASA will deliver science supplies and hardware to the orbital complex.
